Carol is the Chief Operating Officer of Hood Venture Counsel, P.C., where she oversees firm operations, client experience, and strategic growth initiatives. With extensive executive leadership experience across legal, consulting, and community-based organizations, Carol brings a unique blend of operational expertise and mission-driven strategy to the firm.

Before joining HVC, Carol managed a nonprofit legal clinic, where she coordinated client services, streamlined administrative processes, and supported attorneys in delivering high-quality, accessible legal assistance. Her background in organizational leadership and systems management has made her a trusted advisor in scaling impact-driven enterprises.

At HVC, Carol leads the firm’s internal operations, partnership development, and client service initiatives, ensuring that the firm continues to provide culturally competent, efficient, and transparent legal support. Known for her strategic vision, operational discipline, and collaborative leadership style, she plays a key role in advancing HVC’s mission to empower entrepreneurs, small businesses, and community investors.

In her spare time, Carol works with various animal rescues – fostering dogs, cats, and the occasional rabbit – and endeavors to TNR (“trap, neuter and release”) as many of her neighborhood’s feral cats as she can.
